This position operates under the direction of the Nutrition Manager. The Nutrition Assistant

is responsible for supporting daily operations and does not have responsibility for program

oversight or final compliance determinations. The role assists in the implementation of the

school’s nutrition program in accordance with the USDA National School Lunch Program

(NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), while supporting accurate meal counting and

claiming, adherence to federal and state regulations, and maintaining high standards of

food safety, confidentiality, and service efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cafeteria Environment, Student Engagement & Customer Service

document meal service by eligibility category

USDA claiming procedures

Director

Cash Handling & Financial Procedures

• Accurately handle cash transactions, including receiving payments, providing

correct change, and processing refunds as applicable

• Maintain a high level of accuracy while operating cash registers or point-of-sale

(POS) systems

• Count and reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure

balance and accountability

• Follow all school and departmental procedures related to cash handling, security,

and financial accountability

• Identify, document, and report discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious activity

promptly to the Nutrition Manager

• Safeguard cash at all times and maintain confidentiality of financial and student

The Chorus Teacher is responsible for developing and leading the school’s choral program,

providing students with vocal instruction, music literacy, and a range of performance

opportunities, including choral concerts and musical or stage-based productions that

participation in chorus while supporting the school’s mission of cultivating excellence,

Instruction & Curriculum

Woodson School is a non-profit charter school in Winston-Salem, N.C.  We serve 500 students from grades K – 12 each year and support over 80+ staff.  We are seeking bus drivers to join our team to transport students to and from school and extracurricular events following a scheduled route while ensuring student safety.  The desired candidate for this position exercises responsible leadership and communicates in a professional and positive manner at all times with parents, staff, students, school officials, and any other individual they may come in contact with.

Responsibilities:

·      Safely drives a school bus on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, loading and unloading students at designated locations.

·      Transports students, teachers, and others on school field and activity trips.

·      Maintains order and discipline in an effective and courteous manner among students being transported in accordance with school policies and procedures; reports and documents incidents involving student discipline.

·      In case of accidents/emergencies, evacuates students according to written and practiced procedures, ensuring that medical emergency procedures are followed; completes a written report as required.

·      Inventories bus emergency and first-aid supplies and equipment; reports needed equipment to the Transportation Supervisor.

·      Perform a pre-trip inspection.  Check the condition of the vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield, wipers, lights, fuel, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in proper working order.

·      Perform a post-trip inspection.  Check for items left on the bus, as well as vandalism to the bus and bus equipment.  Ensure all students have exited the bus.

·      At the end of the daily route, ensure that the vehicle is parked properly and all windows and doors are secured.  Complete a visual inspection of the bus and report any bus defects or needed repairs immediately.

·      Report all traffic violations or accidents promptly.

Part-time (less than 40hrs).

·      High school education or equivalent

·      Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with “S” School Bus and “P” Passenger Endorsements.  Previous experience working as a bus driver preferred, but not required.

Overview: Carter G. Woodson School is seeking dedicated and experienced Soccer Coaches to join our athletic department. The ideal candidates will have a passion for soccer and a commitment to developing student athletes both on and off the field. This position is responsible for coaching the school’s soccer team, including developing game strategies, conducting practices, and fostering a positive and competitive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions and games.

• Develop game strategies and analyze team performance.

• Teach and demonstrate soccer skills and techniques.

• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.

• Always promote sportsmanship and fair play.

• Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, uniforms, and driving small 14 passenger bus. 

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.

• Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all players.

• Uphold the values and mission of Carter G. Woodson School.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at the middle or high school level preferred.

• Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred. (or willing to obtain)

• Valid Drivers License

• Must pass a background check.
